Biography
Lived in Owen County, IN 1825-1834 Enoch Beem received as his patrimony acreage in Owen County, IN: the northwest quarter of section 20, township 10 north, range 3 west. In 1830he determined to seek another location, sold his one hundred and sixty acres to Levi Beem, and removed to McClean County, Illinois, settling on Mackinawcreek, about sixteen miles from what is now the city of Bloomington. Here he went to work with great energy to make a farm and home, and died there in 1832, leaving a widow and five children.
